It encapsulates multiple algorithms for detecting phonetic, fuzzy, miskeyed, and abbreviated variations of data. Amongst its most common uses are duplicate prevention, inquiry, and matching within and across multiple files. The matchIT API is available as a cross-platform API with a variety of Software Developer Kits.
